Definition: Wiki is Hawaiian for "quick." A wiki is a web page where information can be added and edited by a collective group rather easily. Editing is done through a web browser and can be limited to members of the site or to anyone who visits. Reasons to have a Wiki: Wikis are easy to use, allow for organizing tasks across space, make publishing work accesible for everyone, allow for collaboration, everyone can edit, refine or clarify points on the page. Wikis are being used in education as:

Choose Your Own Adventure
Collaborative Projects
Micropedias
Ant Farms - people/characters - whose paths cross at certain points and the reader can then click over to the new person
